St Petersburg College – College of Veterinary Nursing

SPC has returned to campuses for the Fall 2020 semester.  The semester started on August 17th with a return to campuses based upon 20% of building occupancy.  For Vet Tech, this has us completing lab courses on campus and lectures provided in either our normal on-line format or a new modality SPC has adopted since our March closing called ‘Live-on-Line’.  Live-on-line classes have set meeting times (as if they were on campus) that students must attend.  Our classrooms are set up with the technology that allows faculty, through Zoom, to teach synchronous classes where faculty can interact with the students in a virtual face-to-face modality.

We have opened with masking and social distancing. The first two weeks of school so far have gone relatively smoothly.  It is a new environment for us all and we are learning to adapt  as we continue to provide a quality learning experience in an unprecedented pandemic.
