St Petersburg College – College of Veterinary Nursing

SPC’s veterinary technology program exhibited at VMX this month and will be exhibitors at the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas in February.  If you happen to be attending WVC, please stop by the booth (#726) and say hi. Both of these conferences provide our program excellent prospective student contacts, give us opportunities to catch up with our graduates, and make new professional connections. Our current students were excited to attend VMX, many for the first time.  They really enjoyed the learning sessions and of course were excited about the exhibit hall. From a college and student perspective, we appreciated that this year students were provided free conference registration.

Two of our adjunct instructors, Ryan O’Shea and Dr. Ray Ball, are part of the new National Geographic series that began airing on NatGeo January 5, 2020 highlighting Zoo Tampa. They are currently taping the second season. Dr. Ball and Ryan bring their expertise in exotics to our program and our students.
